Cheese Biscuits
2 cps flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp shortening
1/2 cp grated American cheese
7/8 cp milk
1 - Sift the dry ingredients; and work in the shortening and cheese.
2 - Add the milk; when well mixed, toss the dough on a floured board.
3 - Pat to a 1/2 inch thickness; shape into rounds with a biscuit cutter.
4 - Place in an oiled baking pan, brush with milk and bake in a very hot
oven, 450 degrees from 12 to 15 minutes.
