Gnocchi
2 cps milk
1/2 cp farina
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
1 cp grated American cheese
Instructions
1 - Heat the milk in the top of a double boiler.
2 - Gradually add the farina; and cook and stir until the mixture thickens.
3 - Add the salt and butter and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
4 - Gradually add the cheese; and stir until the cheese melts and the mixture is free of lumps.
5 - Add the egg, well beaten andn transfer to an oiled shallow pan. Cool chill; cut into squares.
6 - Transfer to a shallow oiled pan; and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
7 - Bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown all over.
