Broiled Kippers and Onions
4 good sized onions
2 tbsp butter
1 - Split the kippers; remove as many bones as possible; pour over boiling water.
2 - Let stand 15 minutes to freshen.
3 - Drain oiff waqter, arrange in a well oiled shallow pan; and surround with sliced onions.
4 - Dot with butter and broil under a hot flame for 10 minutes or until kippers and onions are brown.
