Chopped Meat Turnovers
2 cps chopped, left-over meat
1 small onion, minced
3 tbsp chili sauce
A few grains salt
a few grains pepper
pie crust
Instructions
1 - Combine the chopped meat, onion, chili sauce and salt and pepper.
2 - Mix the pie crust; transfer to a board dusted with flour; and roll out
in a square 1/8" in thickness.
3 - Divide in fourths; and place 1/2 cp of the mixture on each square.
4 - MOisten the edges with water; and fold over the dough to form a triangle.
5 - Press the edges together with a fork dipped in flour.
6 - Slit the top of each turnover to allow steam to escape.
7 - Place on a cooky sheet or shallow pan; and bake in a very hot oven, 400 degrees F.
for 20 minutes. Serve hot with reheated gravy or green pepper cream sauce.
