Crumb Cake
Ingredients
2 cps flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cps sugar
1/2 cp shortening
1 egg
1/2 cp milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
1 - Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
2 - Work in the shortening as in making biscuits.
3 - Reserve 1 cp of the mixture; and to the remaine=der add the egg,
slightly beaten and combined with the milk.
4 - Beat and tranfer to a shallow pan rubbed with shortening and dusted with flour.
5 - Add the cinnamon and brown wugar to the dry mixture; and sprinkle over the top.
6 - Bake in a quick oven, 400 degrees F. for 25 minutes.
