Apple Chutney
Ingredients
18 sour apples
3 sweet green peppers, minced
1 onion, minced
1 1/2 cps chopped, seeded raisins
1 1/2 pints cider vinegar
1 tbsp salt
1 1/2 cps currant or other tart jelly
1 1/2 cps sugar
juice 4 lemons
1 1/2 tbsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp cayenne
Instructions
1 - Pare, core and chop the apples and the onion.
2 - Remove the seeds and cores of the peppers; and chop the flesh fine.
3 - Put the ingredients together in the order given and simmer until thick.
4 - Seal hot in sterilized jars.
