1 Egg Cupcakes
Source: Health for Victory Club (WWII vintage)
1/4 cp shortening
1/2 cp sugar
1 egg
1/4 cp milk
1 cp sifted cake flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
1 - Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat well.
2 - Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt alternately with

4 - Fill greased and floured cupcake pans 1/2 full.
5 - Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
