2 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 - 4 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 cps scalded milk
2 squared grated chocolate
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Instructions
1 - Mix cornstarch and sugar with 1/2 cp cold milk.
2 - Place remainder of milk in kettle and heat on medium heat
or use double boiler.
3 - To the milk, add 2 squares grated chocolate.
Note - if using cocoa instead of choclate squares, mix
1/3 cp of cocoa with the cornstarch, sugar and cold milk.
4 - When milk is at the scalding point, add cornstarch
mixture and cook until thickened, stirring frequently.
5 - Just before removing from the stove, add the 2 egg
yolks that have been slightly beaten.
6 - Cook for a couple of more minutes, then add vanilla.
7 - Beat the 2 egg whites until stiff, add 2 tbsp sugar
and beat until sugar is thoroughly dissolved.
8 - Fold egg white mixture into chocolate and pour into a mold.
9 - Serve cold
