Panned Red Kidney Beans
1 1/2 cps dry beans
3 cps water
1 cp finely chopped onion
2 slices bacon
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Instructions
1 - Wash beans and soak overnight in the water.
2 - Next day cook beans until tender in the same water
3 - in which they were soaked.
4 - Fry bacon until crisp, add onions and saute' until lightly browned
5 - Pour over beans and add salt and pepper.
Serves 5
