Sweet Sour Cabbage
5 cps coarsely shredded cabbage
1/2 cp water
4 slices bacon
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp all-purpose enriched flour
1/2 cp water
1/3 cp vinegar
2 tbsp minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Instructions
1 - Bring cabbage and water to a quick boil.
2 - Turn to low heat and cook for 7 minutes.
3 - Dice bacon and fry.
4 - Remove bacon, add sugar and flour to the fat; blend.
5 - Add 1/2 cp water, vinegar, salt and pepper.
6 - Cook until thick.
7 - Add onion, bacon, and cabbage.
8 - Garnish with additonal bacon slices
