Pilaf
2 tbsp shortening
2/3 cp rice, washed and dried
2 small onions, finely cut
1 qt. of tomatoes
1/2 tbsp salt
pepper
Instructions
1 - Put shortening in akillet and melt.
2 - Add rice and stir until rice has become light brown.
3 - Add tomatoes and onions and season with salt and pepper.
4 - Cook on simmer until rice is soft.(about 30 minutes)
5 - Serve with chopped parsley onn top to garnish.
