Buttered Summer Squash
Wash the squash and cut in 1/2 inch slices
It is not necessary to remove the seeds if the squash is young and tender.
Melt about 3 tbsp of butter or drippings in a skillet.
Add the squash and about 2 tbsp water.
Cover and bring to a quick steam.
Reduce heat and cook 10-12 minutes longer
Just before removing from the heat, add 1/4 cp of cream. Serve immediately.
