Stewed Fresh Fruit
It is advisable, whenever possible to use a small amount of sugar in addition to
corn syrup when sweetening the fruit.
To 2 1/2 lbs of fruit, such as apples, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, use
1/4 cp of sugar and 1/2 cp of corn syrup.
The corn syrup may be increased according to the sweetening desired.

A dash of salt added just before removing from the range also aids in bringing
out the natural sweetness of the fruit.
