Cottage Pudding
1/4 cp shortening
1/2 cp sugar
1 egg
1/2 cp all-purpose enriched flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp milk
Instructions
1 - Cream shortening, add sugar gradually.
2 - Add egg and continue beating.
3 - Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
4 - Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to the creamed mixture.
5 - Pour into an 8" greased and floured cake pan.
6 - Bake for 35 minutes in a prehbeated 350 degree oven.
7 - Serve with Butterscotch Sauce(See under sauces recipes)
