1 cp molasses
1 tsp soda dissolved in molasses
1 tbsp shortening
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 cp sweet milk
1 cp raisins
1 cp currants
pinch of salt 3 1/2 cps all-purpose enriched flour

Instructions

1 - Mix in order given.
2 - Place in greased coffee cans.
3 - Cover and steam 3 hours in Economy Cooker, or
a large utensil with thghtly fitting cover.
4 - Keep at least 2 cps of water in the utensil throughout cooking.
