Salmon with Biscuit Topping
2 cps seasoned white sauce
1 tall can salmon
3/4 cp grated cheese
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 recipe baking powder biscuits
White Sauce:
4 tbsp butter or fortified margerine
4 tbsp unsifted all-purpose enriched flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 cps milk
Instructions
1 - For sauce, melt butter or margerine in saucepan.
2 - Blend the salt and pepper with the flour and add to
melted butter or margerine, stirring constantly.
4 - Add milk gradually and keep stirring until white sauce is thickened.
5 - Pour off liquid and remove all skin and bones from salmon.
6 - Combine salmon, white sauce, cheese and seasonings.
7 - Pout into greased casserole.
8 - Place small biscuits on top of salmon and bake in preheated oven at
425 degrees for 20 minutes.
